Background Checks What are my rights?
If youâre applying for a job, or want to keep one, youâre going to have to accept that background checks are becoming a part of work life. In the Information Age, employers can get their hands on a LOT of personal information about you the employee or job applicant. But that doesnât mean you donât have rights. Federal and state laws exist to protect your privacy from overly-inquisitive employers.
