Jesus and Satan

Jesus and Satan were having an on-going argument about who was better
on the computer. They had been going at it for days, and frankly God
was tired of hearing all the bickering. Finally fed up, God said,
‘THAT’S IT! I have had enough. I am going to set up a test that
will run for two hours, and from those results, I will judge who does the
better job.’

So Satan and Jesus sat down at the keyboards and typed away.
They moused.They faxed.They e-mailed. They e-mailed with attachments.
They downloaded. They did spreadsheets! They wrote reports.
They created labels and cards. They created charts and graphs.
They did some genealogy reportsThey did every job known to man.
Jesus worked with heavenly efficiency and Satan was faster than hell.
Then, ten minutes before their time was up, lightning suddenly flashed
across the sky, thunder rolled, rain poured, and, of course, the powerwent off..
Satan stared at his blank screen and screamed every curse word known
in the underworld. Jesus just sighed.

Finally the electricity came back on, and each of them restarted theircomputers.
Satan started searching frantically, screaming: ‘It’s gone! It’s all GONE! ‘I losteverything when the power went out!’Meanwhile, Jesus quietly started printing out all of his files from the past two hours of work.Satan observed this and became irate. ‘Wait!’ he screamed. ‘That’s not fair! He cheated! How come he has all his work and I don’t have
any?’

God just shrugged and said,

JESUS SAVES

A robot with a biological brain

Came accross this article; which I found particularily interesting.

Researchers at the University of Reading (is that where the reading railroad is?) are learning to create
brains in their lab and teach them to control robots! How much more like Frankenstein can you get?

The brains are grown from neurological cells, like you would find in your own brain, and are placed on
a pad that can recieve signals from the cell culture as well as stimulate the cells with small electronic
impulses.

When the brain sends messages to the electrodes, the electrodes drive the robot around in left/right directions,
when the robot approaches an object it sends a a message to the cells, which then in turn learn from
these messages.

Here's a a video explaining all about it. This seems to have some far reaching ideas about how our brains
actually work.

B.C. paleontologists seek clues in rare dinosaur tracks

Sauropod From the page: "Paleontologists in northern B.C. are poring over rare evidence that the largest dinosaur that ever lived once roamed the province.

In August 2008, a group of coal miners discovered ancient sauropod tracks at a mine near Sparwood, B.C., in the province's southeastern tip near the Alberta border.

Sauropods are a group of giant, plant-eating reptiles that roamed the Earth approximately 150 million years ago in the late Jurassic period.

Until the summer of 2008, there had been very little evidence of the giant dinosaurs in B.C., and paleontologist Rich McCrea said that's what makes the discovery of a path of sauropod tracks so rare and valuable."

I wrote to the company to complain, and the told me I agreed to let the software do that when I accepted the EULA. What a load of crap.

I wish I had this free EULAyzer back then !

tonchidot

Check out this video for a really cool app for your iPhone (I hope they make it for other camera phones too)

As you will see from the video, you can literally walk around and look at the world through the screen, and real world objects can be "tagged" by others to provide more information. So the next time you walk into a city, you can find your way around by looking into your iphone and seeting the different tags people have left around.

Seems like a pretty cool idea to me !

Creative waterfall

Check out this video. It is an amazing waterfall creation that shoots water droplets and is designed to make various letters and images. I just hope they are reusing the water over and over for the nice effects. Simply beautiful, definitely worth checking out !

Whether it's the dramatic countdown, the striking thunderbolts, or the whimsical dolphins, you won't be disappointed. This method was innovated by Julius Popp in his machine: "Bitfall," which just as precisely created words that flashed by in the blink of an eye. This would surely make him proud...

Tech Support | Got Funny

Here's a funny tech support message regarding some guy installing "Wife 1.0"

I found it amusing, hope you will aw well:

From The Page:

Dear Tech Support:

Last year I upgraded from Girlfriend 7.0 to Wife 1.0. I soon noticed that the new program began unexpected child processing that took up a lot of space and valuable resources.

In addition, Wife 1.0 installed itself into all other programs and now monitors all other system activities, such as Poker Night 10.3, Football 5.0, Going To The Pub 7.5, and Softball 3.6

I can't seem to keep Wife 1.0 in the background while attempting to run my other favorite applications. I'm thinking about going back to Girlfriend 7.0 , but the uninstall doesn't work on Wife 1.0.

Please help!

Thanks,

Troubled User.....

(Don't miss the reply ->)

The Wave

Watch this 45 minute and gain a better understanding of the power of group, brainwashing and manipluation.

This one really spooks me. Can people really be so easily manipulated?

There are a lot of groups at play in the world. Any Junior or High school student can tell you this. We see more and more uploaded videos of kids being beaten and no one in a crowd doing anything about it.

Possilby related to this as well video on Covert Hypnosis It seems people can be carefully "tricked" into beleving they made up their own minds, when really is it a form of mind control?

What do you think?

PETA Urges Ben

The other day, as we were driving into work, my wife and I happened to have a conversation about cows milk.

When you think about it - it seems kinda strange that we drink milk that was orginally intended for baby cows. Of course it goes through so many difference processes before it reaches us, it is probably not very similar to 'true cows' milk.

Anyway I came across this odd news article about PETA (the people for the ethical treatment of animals) trying to get the ice cream company Ben and Jerry's to use human milk instead of how milk in their ice cream.

I don't know about you, but I still think I'd rather drink the milk from a cow then some other womens breast milk.. but maybe it's just me that's strange?

Debt!

From the page: "Without a budget and the right spending management tools do donâ€t really know how much money youâ€re really spending, do you? While the electronic age is making it easier to accomplish tasks, itâ€s also forcing more and more people into a downward spiral when it comes to their finances. Sure, having access to your money with a quick swipe of a card, whether itâ€s a debit card, check card or credit card, is great but it make keeping track of your spending much more difficult. Convenient spending, monthly access fees & service charges add up to one devastating reality â€" overspending, and through our experiences havenâ€t we all found that when you overspend once, itâ€s easier to do it again, and again, and again?"

Tiger Woods: The Jesus Shot

Tiger Woods can Walk on Water while golfing , a great viral video from EA Games.

Here's a funny example of marketing at work, and making fun of themselves in the process.

So I guess when they orginally released the 08 Tiger Woods golf game, there was a software glitch, a YouTube user noticed this glitch and uploaded it to YouTube for everyon to see.

Watch this video to see how EA Games responded! It's not a glitch! It's a feature.
