Managing Diabetes
In this weekly Podlet, I dicuss my diabetes and what it means to me. I start with a simple dicussion of diabetes and my thoughts about it. The good and the bad.
I'm not sure which came first, my inner desire for personal self managment, self organiation, and will power which then helps me to manage my diabetes. Or did I learn these things as part of living life as a diabetic? Either way, the events in our live shape us and determine how we grow, so this is me relating one of my "personal growth experiances".

Getting even with a telemarketer
I've been around a few times when a wrong number came into my house and my Dad would answer. Some young guy's voice would say "Is Jill there?" , to which my Dad ofet, "No she's gone out with Jim tonight". Of course no Jill ever lived at our house, poor guy probably never knew what hit him.
Today, I don't get many wrong numbers but I must get at least 10-20 telemarketer calls each day. It can sometimes be quite annoying. However, when I spotted this video it made me laugh, this wil teach them to stop messing with people.

Here's a funny gag pulled off by close to 500 people at Grand Central station. Imagine you are walking into a train station just a normal part of your daily commuite, only to discover that time seems to have mysteriously stopped ! You can imagine how confusing it must have been to the innocent bystanders involved.

Hiding files in Jpg images (jpeg)
Here is a tutorial on how to hide files in Jpg's. Please note it isn't the most secure method, because the information is stored in plain text but it's still cool to play with. A simple solution to make this more secure, is to use encryption on the RAR file when your create it, but thats not the point of this tutorial :) The idea is to show how files can be 'slammed' together, to stop the average PC user from finding them.

Urban Legend emails
I used to get these all the time in my life as a system administrator. People forwarding me emails because they thought they had a virus, or people emailing me (and everyone in there address book) to watch out about some guy selling perfume in a parking lot. In addition to typing snopes in google You can also type hoax and then the email subject, BEFORE emailing everyone in your address book. Sometimes it gets even worse, when two or more people start arguing about whether the content of the email is real or not, and they keep replying to all each time.. Big waste of resources, and clutters my inbox. That being said, some of them can be kinda funny ;-)

God Named in Lawsuit
It's not really new, but it's still funny. A Nebraska senator sued God. He is being blamed for widespread causing widespread death and distruction on millions of the earth's inhabitants. Kinda shows how frivolous lawsuits can get. Probably the best part is that God actually responded to the lawsuit. Among his response is that Nebraska does not have sufficient jurisitiction for the lawsuit, and therefore the defendant is imune.
